Training platform Virtual Oil-field
Oil and Gas production Simulator

Virtual Oilfield - Version 2.0

This app runs on Windows OS-based personal computers with Virtual Reality head-mounted displays.

The layout of the battery components can be arranged depending on each client´s needs.

This application is not intended to represent exactly the functions of a battery, nor to replicate its components, but to show the capabilities of the platform for training purposes.

The Virtual Oilfield platform simulates the operation of a typical oil and gas production station or battery.

The arrangement and functionality of the Battery components were based on a basic and standard design of an oil and gas transfer station, as well as the flow, temperature and pressure parameters.

The simulator has two modes of operation:

Normal / Learning mode

It allows the users to go around the Battery facility and all its components, you can also check the parameters of each item through measuring instruments.

In addition, it has interactive informative signs, which are accessed by proximity.

In this mode, the battery works in normal conditions, the level in the storage tanks is normal and the dispatch oil pumps are at their duty cycle.

You can interact with most active devices which would modify the global variables.

Through the main menu, the status can be reset to the initial state not only of valves, but of the main components.

Throubleshooting Mode

Troubleshooting mode

The objective of this mode is to train the production supervisor to maintain the efficiency of the facilities, dealing with and resolving typical abnormal situations.

The platform will simulate an imbalance in which the performance of the battery will be affected by particular cases that resemble real-life conditions.

The supervisor will have a tablet device, which shows the main parameters that govern the system in terms of flow rates, general pressures and alarms, as well as other battery instruments.

Four different failures in random order will be triggered in some of the elements of the system, which must be solved in the least amount of time possible to maintain normal oil and gas  production.
